One of the best ways to find out what DigiPen is like is to experience a typical day on campus, complete with attending classes and meeting student ambassadors. Anyone interested in shadowing a current student is welcome to request a visit — the Office of Admissions will work with you to arrange a date and time during the academic year, as long as the request is made at least two weeks in advance.
What’s it like to shadow a student? Depending on your undergraduate or graduate degree program of interest, you might follow freshman programmers making their first game, or sit in for a testing session as designers playtest their current builds. You’ll also get a first-hand look into our classrooms and energetic labs, as well as a chance to see our professors in action.
Student shadows typically start at 10:00 a.m. and wrap up around 4:00 p.m., but you may start earlier or end later depending on the course you’re looking to shadow. And don’t forget, lunch is included!
If you’re looking to maximize your day at DigiPen, we encourage you to pair your student shadow request with a one-on-one admissions meeting or a campus tour by selecting the option as you submit your request.
