DigiPen is committed to helping you launch your career and achieve your professional goals and pursuits. To honor this commitment, we seek to offer you a range of resources, from career development events that connect you with industry recruiters to one-on-one counseling and resume review services.

Simply put, your success is our success! In addition to the links and resources found below, we encourage you to reach out to Career Services at careerservices@digipen.edu whenever you want to talk about your future career path.

It all starts with one question: What is your dream job?

Career Services can help get you there.

Handshake

Handshake is a free platform, open to DigiPen (Redmond campus) students and alumni, on which you may post your resume, search for open jobs, and RSVP for career-related events. Handshake also gives you access to the Resource Library, which contains important resources geared toward the video game industry. Company recruiters may sign up for a free account, post job openings, and review resumes.

For questions concerning Handshake, please contact any member of the Career Services team at careerservices@digipen.edu.

Company Days

DigiPen regularly schedules visits by some of the industry’s top companies, giving you the opportunity to meet with recruiters, learn more about the hiring process, and even participate in on-campus interviews. These events are open to DigiPen students only, and an RSVP is required for most events. Past visitors include representatives from Nintendo, Santa Monica Studio, Epic Games, and many others.

NextGen Industry Mixer

The NextGen Industry Mixer is a new opportunity for upcoming graduating students to meet employers, tech and game industry contributors, and other local professionals. This mixer-style event offers a fun format where students can meet like-minded industry professionals in a relaxed setting. Food and refreshments will be provided.

For more information about DigiPen’s NextGen Industry Mixer, please contact any member of the Career Services team at careerservices@digipen.edu.

Internship for Credit

Student internships are monitored, on-site work or service experiences that you earn credit for. You can be eligible for an internship as long as you meet the prerequisites and are in good academic standing.

The internship usually takes place in a professional workplace under the supervision of an experienced professional, where a high degree of responsibility will be placed on you. Internships can be part-time or full-time, must be paid, and must be approved in advance by DigiPen.

For more information about the Internship for Credit program, please contact the Career Services team at careerservices@digipen.edu.

Conferences and Industry Events

During your time at DigiPen, we highly encourage you to attend conferences to meet with potential employers and network with other peers in your field. To find out how to use certain scholarship funds to attend industry events or learn how to make the most of your time while attending them, reach out to Career Services at careerservices@digipen.edu.

One-on-One Advising

From your first day as a DigiPen student, you have access to an array of services with professional career advisors and career preparation resources. We are happy to offer you resume and cover letter reviews and guides, interview practice sessions, soft skill development, and general career counseling sessions. These services are available throughout your time at DigiPen, so don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help.

Check out the Resource Library or make an appointment today by visiting Handshake.

Guest Lectures and Workshops

DigiPen’s Redmond campus is located in one of the biggest centers of technology and video game development in the country. Faculty take advantage of the close proximity to top-tier companies by regularly inviting industry professionals to give guest lectures and attend on-campus events.

In the Classroom

Career search preparation is not an afterthought at DigiPen — it’s a built-in part of the curriculum. In COL 499, a capstone course taught by Career Services staff, you’ll be actively building up your application materials, including resume, business card, and online presence. We’ll help you develop a job search strategy that matches your goals and skills.
