Congratulations on your admission to DigiPen Institute of Technology! From the minute you submit your application to the moment you arrive at your first class, your future as a new Dragon is continuously being shaped.

Still waiting to be admitted?

Expect a decision within two to four weeks for undergraduate applications or four to six weeks for graduate applications.

There’s a lot to prepare before you’re fully immersed, but don’t fret! We’ll guide you through each phase of the process and keep you informed on your next steps to enrollment and beyond.

Status Definitions

AdmittedYou’ve submitted your application and received your acceptance letter.

ConfirmedYou’ve completed all four confirmation requirements.

As with all DigiPen announcements, keep an eye on your email for the latest updates. You can also pinpoint your place in the process by following along our timeline for incoming students.

Next Steps After Admission

After applying to DigiPen and getting admitted, the enrollment process will begin. You’ll officially enroll at DigiPen once you register for courses, but there are a few steps to complete before registration is available.

To officially transition to confirmed status at DigiPen, the following four confirmation requirements must be completed. Most of these requirements can be submitted via your application portal. If you need additional information, check your email for detailed instructions.

  • Affirm your intention to attend through the Decision Reply Form.
  • Complete your Online Learning Readiness Self-Check.
  • Sign your Student Enrollment Agreement (SEA) through email.
  • Pay your $150 enrollment fee.

Financial aid is an important resource for all incoming students, no matter where you are in the admissions process. The sooner you take advantage of our various financial aid opportunities, the more options you’ll have.

Prior to Class Registration

As soon as we approve all four of your confirmation requirements, an email will be sent to update you on what’s next. Although class registration is the next major step on your to-do list, being confirmed opens new opportunities that all incoming students should consider.

Both housing and financial aid include separate deadlines, so be sure to take note of important dates as you explore both options.

  • Housing

DigiPen Housing and Residence Life is open to all confirmed students interested in unique living accommodations alongside other students.

  • Financial Aid

Filling out your FAFSA and other forms of financial aid can be done before you apply to DigiPen or any time during the admissions process. If you haven’t started making the most of financial aid, there is still time! The sooner you start, the more financial aid you’ll have access to.

How to Enroll

Map out your journey as an incoming student by registering for classes! Confirmed first-year students will gain access to course registration for the Fall 2025 semester in April. Registration instructions will be sent via email, and you can prepare by making use of our course planning resources.

Transcript Requirements

Official transcripts are required before confirmed students can sign up for courses. If you submitted unofficial or incomplete transcripts during the application process, you’ll need to request official transcripts from all schools you attended, including any school you graduated from while you applied. These can be mailed directly to DigiPen or sent through pre-approved digital courier services. For additional information, reach out to your Admissions counselor.

For International Students

A few additional steps must be taken by international students prior to arriving at DigiPen for the first time. Visa applications, SEVIS fees, and travel arrangements all need to be addressed well in advance. We have put together several pages of helpful advice for navigating these topics.
