Why Study Abroad?

Beyond the pleasure of exploring a new culture in an academic setting, studying abroad has cultural literacy benefits; it is also an opportunity to hone life skills and become more employable.

  • Studying abroad affords a unique opportunity to learn about another culture and yourself.

  • Studying abroad expands your ability to function independently by relying on your self-motivation, curiosity, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Studying abroad can also make you more employable. Employers welcome prospective employees who have already shown that they are self-motivated, open to cultural differences, flexible, and adaptable.
